Gregory Brister who was born on January 13, 1990; is an American Recording artist from Baton Rouge, La. As a rapper he uses the mononym “OCG Peso”. When OCG Peso was younger he listened to a lot of No Limit and Cash Money Records, and would began free styling to their beats as soon as the last verse went off. He never really noticed that he had any talent, and never thought he would ever become a rapper. Until one day in 2003, while hanging in the gritty streets of Glen Oaks (Neighborhood in B.R) he ran across a few friends. These friends were rapping and recording songs, and OCG Peso thought if they could do it, so could he. He began writing, free styling, and made a few songs and success finally came when OCG Peso hooked up with StripLife Records on July 10, 2008. His most recent single “Stackin” was released in 2019 on July 27 and has recorded many views on YouTube and other streaming platforms. OCG Peso’s debut album “Let Tha Truth Be Told” is currently streaming on all major distribution platforms and continues to do well. When asking OCG Peso why he chose that title for his release, he stated “There is a lot of truth that needs to be spoken about. I just want to tell the world the truth about how it is growing up where I grew up.” On this album, I wanted to speak the truth but remain relatable.” He recently struck a deal with Bentley Records in July of 2021 and there is currently a lot of anticipation for his upcoming projects.
