scUba is a Hip Hop/R&B Artist & Songwriter born in Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville, Florida on August 29th, 1996. He attended college at Hampton University, and this is where he obtained his degree in May of 2020. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Recording Technology with an emphasis in Voice & minored in Theatre. His first independent album, Finding My Voice, exudes a variety of emotions, perspective and attitude. A major theme scUba tends to follow is that of Storytelling Rap as to pay homage to old school Hip Hop, while still bringing new school vibes. Through a majority of his album he finds a satisfactory balance in his Rapping & Singing almost as if he’s his own feature to his own song. As far as shows, scUba has managed to perform a handful of songs from the project in a few Open Mic Venues & School Events, while attending HU.
After graduating, he has worked at Crow Entertainment in Audio Production and as a Professional DJ. He also worked at Abundant Life Church in Glen Burnie, MD as a Production Director & Head of Social Media. He currently works at Encore Global as an Event Technician continuing a very consistent reputation A/V and exceptional Customer Service. As he continues to work in those fields today, scUba also gains experience working with Lighting, Photography/Videography, Photo/Video Editing, Digital Services and even records & mixes his own music under S.W.I.M. Entertainment. He also works with MUSIC GREEK𝚺 Inc. as a Co-Chair of Communications in order to help produce a culture and experience for Musicians of several fraternities and sororities. S.W.I.M. Ent. was established on April 27th, 2020, along with a Publishing Company. He looks forward to expanding his business in the near future to eventually go Mainstream and become the next big thing.
