I was born in Detroit, MI October 15th 1987 (BIG LIBRA GANG). Father: Robert Earl Johnson born November 2nd,1943 in Arkansa son of a slave. Mother: Felicia Kim Phillips Johnson born September 26th, 1956 in Detroit, Mi. I lived in Indianapolis Indiana for 8 yrs of my life and went to P.S. 79 school, with my mother and father and older brother Lil Robert and sister Portria. I Had a good life during this time. Stayed in a two story house my mom nd dad had two new cars a piece in a nice neighborhood on Vine Street. My father and mother met driving 18 wheelers talking on the CB radio. When I was born she stopped driving and my dad continued to drive cross country 18 wheelers sometimes taking me with him for weeks at a time.
I have 3 brothers and 4 sisters from my dad’s side of the family and 1 older brother from my mom’s side. I’m the only child from my mother and father and the youngest although I have a brother my same age Kenney just 5 months older. I Love my Brother Marcus like we grew up together. He’s very close to me. My mom and dad split up when I was around 7 and my brother and sister moved with him and I stayed with my mom. They split because my father was abusive when he drank and he was always drinking. My mother and I drove from Indianapolis, IN to Baltimore, MD in 96′ chasing one of her boyfriends at the time. I went to Martin Luther King P.S. That’s when I kinda started living on my own a lil from 9 to 10 yrs old because my mom was always gone with her boyfriend but she taught me how to be self sufficient at a young age. Cooking and cleaning was a daily thing even if she wasn’t there because when she came home if it wasn’t done “You can take yo soul to the lord, because the behind gone be mine” ,as she so eloquently put it lol. I also took myself to school and maintained 3.0 to 4.0 all the way through high-school.
In 97′ my father passed from leukemia which crushed my mother and myself. We took a train back to Indiana for the funeral then back to Baltimore where my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time. The first time was while her and my father were still together and I had to change her bandages for her hernia surgeries and help her learn how to walk again at the age of 6 through her fight of breast cancer. My pops was always on the road but always there for football games and birthdays and holidays. I remember him always happy and joking.
After she was diagnosed she flew me down to Alabama to love with my Aunt Billie, Uncle Steve, and older cousins Tanya & Valencia. I lived in Alabama for 6 years where I learned how artistic I was in drawing, joined a dirt bike squad with my best friends Eric Jones and Timothy Bragg we did absolutely everything together. I was very devout in church where I attended the youth group of Wilkes Baptist Church in Midfield, AL. Went to Rutledge middle school and freshman year of Midfield high-school. My mom came from Baltimore in 99′ and I moved with her from my aunts and cousins. My mom and i lived in the Ensley Projects until i went outside one day to help this kid with his garbage and it busted open and needles were everywhere. She grabbed me crying asking me if i got pricked she washed my whole body then whooped my ass for not knowing how dangerous that was when she taught me better. A whoopin was the norm for a fuck up and then u didnt do that fuck up again in my household. I also saw someone get shot and murdered in the parking lot of the project complex. From then on we had houses. The smallest was a 2 brdm 655 sq ft house. My mother and Aunt Billie were being Bachelorette’s so my cousin Tanya was my second mother. She taught me how to dress, cut my hair, not be a lil bitch all that lol she was “moms and pops”.
When I turned 15 I got into it with my mom for coming home at 1 am and not checking in. I was a good kid the problem wasn’t I was out all night on my dirt bike reaking havoc on the neighborhood playing ding dong ditch and egging peoples houses. The problem was I didn’t check in every hour after the street light comes on like I was supposed to lol. So when I crept in the house I could smell fried chicken coming from the kitchen nd tried to sneak to my room but she caught me. She tried to hit me with the thick leather belt but I told her it didn’t hurt nd I was too big for it. She then proceed to punch me in my mouth and knock me through my beeldroom door all the way to my futon. My mom stood 5’7 tall and weighed about 180 while I was 5’4 about 175 fat until the summer of 2005 where I sprouted 5 inches.
When she obliterated my mouth lol, I jumped on my dirt bike and ran away from home. I couch hopped with some friends like the Stancils who didn’t have much but willing to give me what they could spare from a bed to meals to clothes for a few months and ultimately stayed with a family from my Church called the Watsons. They were white but they were nigga white. The oldest son Corey dressed black and had swag smoked weed showed me nigga things lol. The father Tracy and mother Reba were loving and Hella cool hard working people but it was also the first time I’ve ever seen cocaine or someone do it. The youngest son Jonathan was a lil older than me and took me under his wing I was closest to him. We played football at the Coca-Cola plant in the rain on Saturdays with his bestfriend Benny Casey also my older brother and other kids from the church and neighborhood.
Don’t get it twisted my mom was a “Queen” pretty, smart, knew everything you needed to know on how to fix a car. She built old schools chevys for a period in her life hence why my favorite car is the 1970 SS Chevrolet. As a single mother she held it down and gave me any and everything I ever asked for because she never had to worry about me in the streets or in school with a 3.0 to 4.0 teeter average in school. I won the Birmingham county spelling bee with the word “Indubitably” in 2001.She might not have been right wen I asked for it but she got it. She showed up to my school during lunch for my birthday when I was in the 7th grade and bought me a Kawasaki KX100 to show all my friends and made me feel cooler than the cool kids. She always gave me the master bdrm in the houses we moved into so i could have couches in my room nd have all the kids over. Everyone wanted to come chill at my house.Although they were expensive I had a computer in my room as well with the dial up AOL and cd burner.
I burned everyone who was hot at the time CDs from 50 cent “Get Rich or Die Trying” to Kirk Cobains “Nirvana” (The Watsons put me on game). The only Cd I ever had my mom by me was Ludacris ” Chicken & Beer” Album. Ludacris was everything to my ears at the time. I also was listening to A lot of Master P and No limit because my cousin Tanya had the movies like ” The last Don’ and that hood ghetto shit was our lives so it was the norm. Also bumping Yin Yang Twins, St. Lunatics, and Obviously Dr. Dre was all over my spins back then. I liked that raw spit that made me feel like they knew what I was going through growing up at the time where I lived.
I completed the Art Course from a TV commercial and sent in the pamphlet with a life sized self-portrait and acquired a scholarship to attend their school with a 98% scored on their test. My mom at the time came back relinquished my scholarship and flew me to California in 2003 against my wishes. Hand to the lord I had never seen a Spanish person til I saw this “donkey booty” Spanish woman dragging her crying child across the Mineta Airport in San Jose, CA. I was in aw and infatuated lol.We stayed with my grandmother Addie in a 1bdrm apt in a convalescent home on the West side of San Jose, CA.
It took about a year for me to move out and start couch hopping again àt houses from brothers on my football team at Del Mar High School. I stayed with our star running back family the Sellu’s, the humble amazing Johnson Family, The extravagant and loving Hennessy’s, The Hungarian twins the Heldermans, The extra loving Vermys, My brother Brian, his uncle, and brother The Josefowicz’s. Brian Josefowicz and I are closer than blood brothers still. The excellent Okamoto’s and I ended up getting adopted at 17yrs old by my mom Beth Baker. Her son Brian was our linebacker and daughter Bridgette a cheerleader and became my legal brother and sister (white family). My white brother is the one who opened my mind and 3rd eye to everything.. From ecstasy, LSD, Shrooms, cocaine etc.. to the effects and how to control and ride ur high properly whatever ur on or whatever realm your in. Brian showed me Bay Music. He and his best friend Dubz put me in Mac Dre, E40, and everybody from Thizz Ent. I initially thought Mac Dre was group of Artists and it blew my mind he was one person sounding like 4 people on one song. That really plays a part in my music today. I like sounding different and spitting different on the songs so people never get bored with my music. It’s refreshing to me. Also Mista F.A.B. and his freestyling resinated with me because he could jus rip off the top of his head and everything came together like it was a song so i adapted that into my rapping as well. During the “Hyphy Movement” my squad and I were poppin nd selling alot of pills and Thizzin all over the bay.Thizz iz wat it is ya lil bish.
Jump to my early 20s and I heard “Ask Them Hoes” by Lil wayne and I never stopped listening to him since. He in time overthrew Ludacris as my favorite rapper because of his metaphors and the way his bars unfolded different also he his punchlines make you want to listen to everything he says. I think I have a Ludacris energy lil wayne type flow with a bay twist. I started working with a club promotion company made by a friend/ cousin of mine Josh Overton at Can’t Get Enough Ent. Being a club promoter and traveling all over the Bay Area booking events and setting up shows with one of my best friends Jimmy Apadoca, made me to create my own lil circle of friends and family and start throwing my own events. I got a close friend/ brother named Anthony Knight who’s a high ranking blood remember in Philly that used to take me around and show me what that whole scene was about and almost got jumped in but didn’t. “Philly” and i used to do some off the wall shit that shouldn’t be discussed in this bio.. lol got mad love for son(No Diddy)..Shortly after Philly moved back to Philly i met my Closest best friend/ brother Jamie Bridges and we created THI, or Team Hella Important. We threw wild parties at my brother Richard Rios dog food plant and got turnt the fuck up! We would have a caravan of 4 to 8 cars packed of people and drive all over San jose to house parties bring the party, shut theirs down , take their females, and other people with us to every party we go to and end up somewhere for the night. I ended up meeting Justin Crutchfield aka CJ that lived in an apartment complex with a rooftop view and I would illegally throw parties without his consent or the apartment complex consent on the rooftop and charge people to come play beer pong, drink, and chill. We even had a DJ at most of our functions shout out Steven Bates. He was just starting but we had that bitch rocking..THI I would give you all your individual flowers but u know who u are and if anybody ever say u weren’t a part of it tell them to call me or Jamie and ask! ” WE HAD SAN JOSE ON A SICK ONE!” We did this for years until I had my first child in 2013.
I stayed with a friend/ sister named Loraina Munoz and her man at the time Pimpin Paul, and Uncle Manny, or with my older brother Richard Rios, and his lady Brittany Balthaser at the time i was running THI with Jamie and Chazzy & my sis Geneva Laws and Christina Sanchez. My son was born March 14th, 2013 Damascus Raphael Johnson Jr., to myself and his mother Yoshiko Shirakawa aka “Yoyo”. He’s Japanese, Puerto Rican, Mexican, African American, and Irish. One of my best friends who could freestyle like no one i ever met and who i thought was going tonmake it in the rap game Rory Park Pettiford was murdered at a 7 eleven around the corner from my house. This really devastated alot of people but myself and my brother James Ceglia the most. James and I really depended on eachother around that time to get through it. Rory had a “Boo from Mario” tattoo on the inside of his left bicep so i got one one the inside of my right bicep to honor him and his memory. My son being born flipped me from party mode to dad mode. Stopped partying tough, got my security guard license and worked at Amazon Lab 126 with 12 hour shifts. Yoshiko is actually the reason I’m doing music. She introduced me to her nephew Qamar Williams who is a producer and they showed me songs they did together and let me record just for fun. After that first session I was hooked. Yoshiko and i were doing well with our own apartment and loving life, I’m selling tree for extra money we smoking good eating good until one night I got drunk popped a Xanax blacked out got into a fight with my sons mother and didn’t wake up in my mind for a full day later driving to San Francisco in the back of my home girl Dezi car with my lil bruh Big Ron. After that my relationship with my sons mother was pretty much over. I moved out and left her the apartment and paid the bills and moved in with my OG big Cousin Marcel Gamble.
It was Marcel who put me back on the right path after Yoshiko I was broken. He got me right kept me working and building and stacking my money to get me back on my feet. Til this day I still call on him to shoot the shit and set me straight. So now I’m working 2 security jobs and trappin “Mrs. Millie”. I’m in and out of jail for fighting in public, DUI’s, and “B&E” I did with my friend Pasha Shiroki.. Back to couch hopping stayin with numerous friends/ family like Moms Kandee Watson and my brothers Jamie Bridges, Anthony Watson, and Kenny White, or my cousin Trever Staten and the whole Staten squad, lil cousin Dominic Lopez always helped when he could, lil sis Nicole Paloz, best friend Chastain Sarabia, Christina Sanchez, lip sis Geneva Laws, lil bruh Nick Palermo and his family, my brother Eli Flores and my brother Aj Baggarino, cousins Derick and Dajon Irving house, sister Stevie Guteren staying in cars owned by my boy Fahad, home girl Christine aka “Shorty” hepled me out, My best friend Carlos Montalvo always did what he could for me and more, big sis Janelle Davis house, at parks, or at one my producers Emil Graves. Even when i was bumming it i always had bitches or a bitch fucking with me so i was never truly alone or broke. EVER..That’s when I met my ex wife Afaf Baballah aka “Shy” around 2016. Literally we hung out for a week and she took me to jail I had a warrant for a missed appearance and had a month and a half of jail time. She held me down while I was in their with commissary and phone calls and when I got we were inseparable.
Afaf is Palestinian so I had to convert to and become Muslim in order to marry her. We were married within a year of knowing eachother. Shared a 2 bdrm apartment with my lil brother Effron Hopkins (My mutha-fuckin nigga), his wife Jayla Jones, and my nephew Eli. Things got cramped fast so after acquiring a job as a salesman at the San Jose Mercury News we moved into a luxury condo. I made 73k selling a hard copy newspaper. Afaf drove a 2014 camaro and i drove 2005 stick shift beamer. Neither of my children’s mothers had to work while she was with me. I created my first mixtape ” I C.R.Y. ( Cant Remember Yesterday)Rachet Dreams of The Turn Up” and shot a few videos in between children with my nephew Qamar. He would take me to legendary “Smash Mouth Studios” on the Westside of San Jose where I had the pleasure of meeting a San Jose legend gone too soon in Traxamillion. My daughter was born November 11th 2017, Jennah Serenity Johnson. She’s Palestinian, African American, and Irish. Not long after she was born her mother kicked me out of our 1400 sq ft condo for my alcoholism. I was handling business but I loved to drink like my father. It was worse because my tolerance was so high to where I’m drinking a gallon and a half of vodka a day to function normally until I started getting a Vivitrol shot in my ass (No Diddy), to subdue my alcohol cravings in 2023.
When she kicked me out I was devastated again like my first child’s mother but this time my sister Samaria Gerovic and her husband Mark Saucedo let me stay in her garage to get back on my feet. Without Samira and Mark at that time and the hole i was in i prolly wouldn’t have been able to get out of. It was a dark time for me and they held me down when i really needed it. I didn’t go back to the paper I went back to trappin and trappin tough. Bought me car from a close friend Ryan Ericson and stayed in the streets and lived outta my car. I ended up crashing my Dodge Challenger off the side of a freeway ramp with a car stopped in the middle of the ramp and I and saw the car late swerved and fell 13ft down into a pole right before the freeway. I was all fucked up and ran away and left my pistol money and bag in the car and had to run back to get it. I hid at an Applebee’s until my gf at the time Brooke Furgeson picked me up and took me to my sisters where I was staying at the time Cyrra Northrop and her Husband Justin Parker. I took myself to rehab with the help of my Moms Queen Vicky and sons/ brothers Justin and Joey Lopez for alcoholism on January 2nd 2020 thanks to my mom Vickie and was their until April 2020 because of the pandemic. When I got out my best friend Jamie put me back on my feet and i went straight back to trappin.
I met Juanita Rosas aka “Gem” in April of 2020 and the rest is history. She held me down no matter if I’m in the streets or in her sheets. She helped me get my license back after 18yr susepnsion from 2 Duis, get my 14 court cases expunged, made me focus on my music because she saw that was what made me happy. None of my other relationships the woman figured that out but she did and now my music is top teir because she gave me confidence that I really am as good as I think, “people just need to hear you and they’ll wat to listen to more ” she says. Everyday with this woman is an adventure and I never knew life could be this fucking fun.. Gem is what you call “A Real Nigga backbone”. She’s a best friend i never had in a relationship. She flew me to go see my mother and brothers and sisters in 4 different states in February for Valentines day in 2021.Which was much needed because I hadn’t seen her since she moved out to Detroit to be with my oldest brother Latrel Phillips in 2014. My mother died later that year on December 11, 2021. My mother always believed no matter what I did I would be great at it as long as I cared enough to give it the effort. She loved my music and told me I had a gift others dream they can posses before she passed. “A gift to gab”, she said.
Now I’m droppin one of the hottest EP’s of the year 2024 with “Wake Em Up” and I’m not stopping there. My song catalog is straight gas and anyone who listens to me always finds something in my music to either relate to, or “gig” to. I don’t rap about the private jets or expensive trips or luxurious life style yet because i don’t have that yet. I speak facts in my music. I speak my life-style and the truth about it. When i get all the cars and jewelry, and get on private jets, and fancy trips you’ll hear about it in a light you never have. That’s what I do, I bring you to the light with the lyrics like you’ve never heard or thought about before.
I’m a metaphorical, energetic, punchline, bar for bar, rapper that can rap over anything, freestyle over anything, make a hit song out of anything artist. Soon to be ya favorite artist.
