Hey it’s YBG RT, I’m also known as Reed Tingley, an upcoming Atlanta rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. I started my music career in 2018 when I was 16. Growing up for me was what I call an easier struggle. My family didn’t have tons of money, but my parents did their best at keeping my brothers and I in a situation we could be okay in. We lived in Marietta, Georgia, where I grew up until I was 18 and moved. During my high school career, I went through a lot of unexpected family issues, some of which included my parents separating and losing my papa. On top of that I went through hard relationship and friendship problems and everything together caused a depression for me. I always loved music in a deeper way than most people around me at the time. It fueled my day to day mood and I thrived in my own world with my earbuds in. After going to my first hip-hop concert my junior year I decided I wanted to give recording music a try. I saved up and started myself out with an $80 set-up. You know, the USB condenser mics and the $40 interfaces. I made my first song called “I Had A Dream” and released it to Soundcloud. I managed to get enough views and enough support to keep going. This is where I grew closer with some of my now best friends, WRLDWIDEWAGZ and Tilon Jones, who also play an equal role in my team. I started my own collective label with them named Young Bread Goon Productions (YBG). Wagz and I collaborated on my first mixtape album “YBG WRLD” and we started to gain some recognition in our town as well as new fans. We got to a point we felt there was no turning back, so we started performing and taking things more seriously as it had only started as a hobby. Since that point, I dropped my first creative EP, my first music video, and have dropped numerous singles to keep fans entertained. I decided to overtime upgrade my home studio where all my music is recorded into a $5000 set-up and start studying my mixing, mastering, and overall production quality. My team and I work hard at helping each other develop as creatives and we’ve reached a point the industry can now take us as professional. During 2020, a year we’ll all remember, I recorded 2 albums that I will be releasing this year in 2021. I put my soul into both of these and I’m beyond excited to share these with the world. They feel like the true art I always wanted to be able create. Recently, I signed a deal with Bentley Records and they will be pushing at least one of these albums along with many singles I’ve been working on. I’m very excited to see what the year brings as I release my projects and seriously market them to the public.
