Leroy”Amun-RaSki Da Rap 6od”Riddick III, Is an upcoming Hip-Hop artist residing from Philadelphia,Pa. The 28yr old Philadelphian is 6th of 12 siblings as well as a father of 5. “Da Rap 6od” first started his music path at the age of 6, where he wrote his first rap and was severely punished for the contents of the lyrics. “I got my a** whooped for that rap, but then my aunt and uncle told me if rap was something I wanted to do then it had to be gospel….So I started doing gospel rap!”Amun-RaSki explained. As he transitioned into the Gospel music he enjoyed it but felt condemned by the actions of his daily life, So by time he was 15 he decided to give secular music another chance.His main influences for music were Earth,Wind & Fire, Boys2men, Babyface, Rahkim, Slick Rick, 2pac, Biggie, Nas, But the most influential and biggest impactor was The King Of Pop, Michael Jackson. “He was a perfections who took the time to perfect his craft in every area! He made his videos into mini movies you can still enjoy to this day with heart felt songs and performances like no other. So yea MJ made me fall in love with music and let it be my way of connecting with people as well teaching me to work hard and perfect my craft until I can’t criticize myself anymore.” Between the ages of 15 and 28 the music path has been long,tiring and tedious with a lot of dark moments for the artist. As “Raski”, Or “Raski Snow” (as he like to call his other alter ego) Battled with wanting to quit, deaths, loss or friendships and kinship. However, He overcame it all with resilience while achieving many goals and accolades throughout the time. Placed top 3 in the nation in a writing contest, Has opened up for meek mills, Travis Porter and NLE Choppa, while Also winning numerous of showcases in his city. As he continues on his music path he has now associated with Noveee Records as well as Bentley Records, And Currently is putting together a series of collages of musical projects. With 1 Ep and 5 mixtapes out within just this year, Da Rap 6od plans to drop 2 Albums, A mixtape, and 2 Ep’s before the end of 2020. “I want to work hard and keep dropping great product for music consumers, while catching the eyes of major record labels. If I could land a great deal with a major label, fulfill my contract then stay independent, while creating opportunities for upcoming artists in my city…That would be the ultimate achievement I’ve set!” And with Music reviews such as, “Bro your music is fire”, “I just check your music out and you got bars”, and “You got the skills and talent to make it, Do you need beats!?” I don’t doubt that goal will get achieved!
