LankyLee is a Nigerian hip-hop/rap artist from Agbor, Delta state, making waves in the music industry with his unique sound and introspective lyrics. Born Leroy Udoka Ubido, he adopted the stage name LankyLee and embarked on his musical journey as an independent artist with DistroKid. His talents caught the attention of Bentley Records, leading to a distribution deal that enabled him to release several tracks.
LankyLee’s music career took off in 2017, with his 2018 EP “The Awakening” marking a significant milestone. Although the EP was later taken down, it solidified his resolve to pursue music as a profession. During his time at the University of Benin, LankyLee honed his craft, performing at university shows and clubs in Benin city. He realized his potential and declared, “I wanted music to be my career immediately I realized I was productive with it.”
